Bomba was terrible, probably the worst thing I've ever read by Tezuka. Glad to see more of his work getting licensed though. That's never a bad thing.

Was very excited to see a new English language release for Osamu Tezuka, but sad to hear it's not a great one. I Will pick it up regardless, but I really hope Kodansha will continue to lisence Tezuka's works like Vertical did years ago. Dealing with the way Digital Manga Publishing handles their releases is a massive pain if you live in Europe.

Good to know. Good Tezuka tends to range from decent to fantastic, but Bad Tezuka is often just... bad. I hope they can print some of the good stuff later on.
Still, though, this license makes me wonder if Tezuka Pro's deal with DMP is no more. Tezuka Pro wasn't too happy with how DMP's most recent Tezuka Kickstarter progressed, so it wouldn't be surprising, but some confirmation would be nice.

Whats so bad about Bomba? and when you mean read it you mean by scanlation? As with those, they may have some inconsistencies with those of official translations.

Those are both reprints, though (and I'm thankful it's happening in Storm Fairy's case; I was interested in it but missed it the first time). I don't think they've released any "new" Tezuka in print since Wonder 3. IIRC, when the DMP deal happened, publishers that had previously released English versions of specific Tezuka works could continue doing so. It’s possible that’s what’s going on here with these reprints.

If only it weren't still progressing years later. I'm still waiting for my refund from DMP, so I am beyond thrilled to see Kodansha bringing something out. Please, keep at it. I will happily purchase Tezuka from you, Kodansha. Major thanks for bringing us Bomba.
