I really wish they'd add the Cyborg 009 series that Discotek released, seeing as how that's not streaming anywhere right now.

Memories is a great additional for the service - the screenplay for the "Magnetic Rose" segment was written by Satoshi Kon, and you can see how it influenced his later works.

They're adding the 1960s version of Osomatsu-kun? That's a surprise...

Unless that's a mistake and they're actually adding the 1980s version? That said, I would be interested in seeing the 1980s version.

Hi, does anyone know how to view RetroCrush content on a internet browser like Chrome. The post indicates it is available on standard browsers but I can only find Apple and Android aps for viewing. Question

Osomatsu-kun (1966) - May 15

Are you sure it’s the 1966 black and white series and not the 1988 color series that Discotek licensed?

As of now, it's not viewable on internet browsers, but they did say they plan to make it available on browsers at a later date. I'm gonna wait until then before getting into Retrocrush, as I prefer my streaming to be on websites and not on phones. Plus, I love what this site is going for. Maybe now I can finally finish Pastel Yumi!

Once they make this site available for browsers I'm totally hitting up The Three Musketeers and the movie.

Since this question was asked twice, I wanted to answer that RetroCrush gave us a list of anime they will be adding along with links to each anime's entry on MyAnimeList. In the case of Osomatsu-kun, RetroCrush did link us to the MAL entry for the 1966 version of the show. I have, however, reached out to RetroCrush to ask if it really is the black-and-white series that will be added to the service. As soon as we hear back, I'll either update the article or I'll post another post here stating that it is indeed the 1966 version that will be added.

I hope RetroCrush will add their web browsers soon especially if they're licensing more titles that aren't streaming elsewhere like Pastel Yumi and Memories as I much prefer to watch on my computer over my phone and I don't have Roku to watch the app on my TV.

I recall in an older ANNCast episode with Zac and Justin, Justin mentioned that Memories is a prestige title. Licensing it for a Blu-ray release here would be very expensive, I think? Siren Visual in Australia released a region B Blu-ray a few years ago, but the company seems to have been inactive for over a year, so it is unavailable for direct purchase on their website...
The American DVD release was from Sony. I would tend to think either them or Funimation would be most likely. That's unless GKIDS swoops in like they did with Tokyo Godfathers (which was also a former Sony release).
