Yeah, why the hell did they bring Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise into this? So not cool...
Nah, that song is a classic, no way to tarnish it. And, what's with Sonic's human teeth. Very off putting, but I find the entire character design to be off putting. Only thing that I liked the look of is the last couple of seconds of the trailer.

Man, that Sonic design isn't great. But I love Jim Carrey's Eggman, that save the trailer for me

Jim Carrey in this was a sure fire indicator I wouldn't like the movie. I found him unbearable in The Grinch, and this just looks like another one of those performances.
And then the design of Sonic, wow no thanks. |

Well, I don't know what to think about it. The main premise seems pretty basic, Jim Carrey looks like he's having fun playing Eggman, but the effects look so cheap as well as Sonic's animation. Speaking of Sonic, he looks so tiny and skinny, and his facial movements are a little bit disturbing. The trailer for Detective Pikachu also looked weird at first, but the effects looked a lot better and people seemed to like it more.
I don't know what else to say, but the Internet is going to have a field day with this trailer. |

I think my biggest issue is that it's the typical "Cartoon/Game character somehow ends up in the real world and has to get snuck around by random human characters that no one really cares about, but somehow the movie will try to make there be some story arc for them" type story.
Why can't stuff just take place in the character's own world???? |
