Sigh. I know this was already in the cards and they even annoucned the anime would only last around 50 episodes but I was hoping this time they could get rid of the "Captain Tsubasa curse"... yet, as each single anime show since the very first one, we are cursed to see the remake of the first portion of the manga and to never ever reach new stuff (besides a few episodes in CT Road to 2002 and a few in Captain Tsubasa J).

I thought they had made it clear from the beginning that this remake was only going to be 52 episodes long. Is there a complete adaptation of the U-17 World Cup arc that concluded the original manga series? I know the Shin Captain Tsubasa OVA and the four movies are mostly set in Europe, but I'm not sure if they complement each other or tell different versions of the same story.

Only 52 episodes? Well, that's the same amount as the 2002 series, it's still longer than J, though. I know they only made this remake because of the World Cup, but it would be nice if they continue with a new season.
I watched a couple of episodes, it's one of the few anime airing in Cartoon Network Latin-america, and it was nice that they managed to get some of the dub actors from previous series to reprise their roles or to voice new characters. Still, it was weird at first because it was the first time they used the Japanese names of the characters instead of the European ones. It took me a while to adapt, I still refer to Tsubasa and Genzo as Oliver and Benji.
By the way, Netflix announced that they acquired the Road to 2002 version, but I think it will only be avaible in Latin-america, and maybe Europe.

I swear this series has the most remakes out of any anime series, and they almost always over the SAME story over and over again. I used to be a CT fan, but now I'm glad I decided against watching this remake.

Any update on that Miami dub that premiered on Primo TV? Is it still going or did it get cancelled already?

It's still ongoing. Episode 30 airs tonight. At this rate it's clear the entire show will get dubbed.

We knew from the begining it would be 50 something episodes.
Why is everybody feeling so angry or disappointed?
Maybe we'll get a new season soon.

Look at the posts, they're upset because every Captain Tsubasa adaptation covers the same few arcs and never goes beyond it. I'm not a fan, but I can understand how frustrating that must be.
