Im sure some of you have read that the 4th Volume in the 2nd raid series is the Final DVD, does anyone know if this is true? The last episode left it hanging very badly and i feel it needs closure.

I'm not sure if you're saying the third disc needs closure or if the series in general needs closure, but I'll answer both questions.

Option 1: Yes, the fourth disc is the last one for the U.S. release of FMP! TSR.

Option 2: Here's a link to a thread from more than a year ago that should answer your question. I wouldn't advise posting in the thread, though, because of its age.

The FMP! series is ongoing. Kyoto Animation will do one season of it, then leave for a couple years before coming back and doing another. It lets the novel writer(FMP! is based off a novel series if I remember correctly) to get ahead and avoids filler. Expect another series/season sometime in the future...don't know how long though, Haruhi(another KyoAni anime) was an unexpected hit that they plan to use again as well. Rumor has it that KyoAni has pushed back the next FMP! season in order to do another of Haruhi, but that's still only a rumor.

Unless you have some inside information from Japan about Kadokawa's plans for additions to the franchise, this simply isn't true. Just because there have been a few seasons so far does not mean that another is guaranteed. When an official announcement is made, only then can we know that another season is planned. Until such an announcement is made, however, there is no point in speculating and spreading rumors.

As one3rd says, I have to doubt that any of the fans on these boards have insider information about Kadokawa/KyoAni's plans for more Full Metal Panic anime. If it's announced, you can bet it'll appear on the ANN frontpage, so until then, we'll all have to sit tight and find something else to watch.
