This was fun to watch but it surprises me that he's just now finding out about conan.

I know he was joking and all, but let's be honest. The world's most famous Conan?
I doubt his fame inside the USA is as big outside there. I just know him because his name sometimes appeared on The Simpsons credits. Anyway, it was a fun watch. And the most famous Conan is that barbarian guy |

Wow, $27 billion? Disney only paid about $4 billion for Marvel and Star Wars each lol. I know it’s a joke, but holy crap that is an insanely huge property.

Oh man! That was hilarious! I loved the whole thing of a "Grown man trapped in a child's body" that killed me.
To be fair one of most classic episodes "Marge VS. The Monorail" was one of his so it makes sense. Seroueslly there's so many good quotes from that episode not to mention the song. |

Because math is hard. [Conan even said "24 years" himself in that video.] |

I wonder if Gosho Aoyama and TMS Entertainment will reply back just to make sure if this really is a joke.

I'd like to see a crossover. Forget meeting Lupin III, our pint-sized detective has to solve a grisly murder at Conan's studio. He knocks the host out with a tranquilizer dart when three or four fail to put down Andy Richter.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle? From which Shinichi Kudo derived for the cover name of Conan Edogawa (also borrowing from Ranpo Edogawa)? Okay, fine, probably the barbarian. |

This actually isn't the first time Detective Conan has been mentioned on his show. I'm surprised it wasn't brought up then as part of the joke but it didn't help that it was renamed "Case Closed" so I guess they missed it.

Conan is my favorite late night talk show host and he has quite the history with anime. Back in his NBC days he did a video with Andy Richter where they went to Bang Zoom and dubbed a few of their shows. It was really funny. I'm sure you can find it online some where.

I think he's known for a while. Especially when O'Brien use to do detective skits a few years ago. Demanding an outrageous amount of money and the various comparisons. I got the feeling this is some kind of publicity stunt. Japan getting free publicity in the US and O'Brien likely getting a cameo or bit part in a new Conan film. Expect O'Brien to be heading to Japan soon. |

Lol. O'Brien is just jealous on how the kid Detective is much more popular in Japan than he is.
Anyway, it was a funny sketch. |
