Forum software does not handle "posts since last visit" correctly

I have a bookmark that links to searching for posts since my last visit. Until recently the software would remember the list so I could browse forward and back. In the past couple of weeks the software "forgets" my last visit and updates it to the current visit. Of course, I no longer have the list of threads to review. Did something change to make the forum software act this way? It shouldn't update to my most recent visit until at least a half-hour has passed when I first log in.
