As a huge fan of Megumi, I'm so glad I managed to get Yasuno Kiyono's autograph. (Anime exclamation) For me, events and booths are great, but the one thing that conventions can offer that nothing else can is fan-creator interaction. I can meet my friends whenever I want, buy anything anytime over the internet and listen to concert music on my computer, but the personal interaction is something that cannot be replicated. Here's hoping for more autograph/meet&greet sessions next year!

Is this article dated incorrectly?

In any case, nano. I wish I could see nano concert live. I need Now or Never live (best phibrain, best nano)

(Yes, is the article dated correctly?)

Man, it's been years since I went to an AFA event. An unexpected article. Thank you very much for the roundup.

I was a bit, uh, dejected by Mizushima's response in that Gundam 00 panel. I still think that spoiler[alien] development really ruined everything.

Good to see more of Saekano.

Man, check out the number of lines on Violet Evergarden's character designs!

Not usually into autographs, but I guess that's mostly just because I haven't met too many creators that I care about. Yasuno Kiyono is definitely one who's I'd like to have though. She's pretty fantastic.

The Saekano youtube link seems to be region locked.

Yeah, I was bummed about that because I wanted to actually see the "spoiler" they were talking about. Sad

Oh so that's why the 00 movie had aliens, that's pretty cool.

It was the scene at the end of Flat where Megumi tells Tomoya that she wants to continue Blessing Software.

Sorry, I didn't know the video was region-locked outside Japan Sad

Blocked in this particular assortment of countries. Aniplex seems to be nonsensical with this kind of thing.

I think exactly the opposite. I'm no Gundam expert, but it seems to me that spoiler[first contact with alien life] is the natural evolutionary step of the franchise's central message about resolving conflicts within humanity. So I was very pleased to see that confronted at the end of S2, and in the movie, all those years back. Mizushima's answer is basically what I would have expected, and I'm pleased to hear him articulate it so long after the fact.

With all that said, the movie itself, being the train wreck that it was, was certainly ruinous in its own way. There was easily enough story crammed into its sub-2-hour runtime for a 25-episode S3. Would've, could've, should've.

If there is a new Gundam 00 series, we will get to see more alien antagonists.
This might also sound like what if Macross is set in a Gundam universe.
