Oh wow I would've thought they've waited to see how Captain Harlock does before publishing any more classic Matsumoto-- not that I'm complaining!
It's a long shot, but Galaxy Express 999 next, please ^^

Seven Seas is on a role with these classic titles. Nice.

Could this also mean that finally overseas publishers will be able to license more old and new Yamato anime? I hope that is the case.

Crunchyroll added 2199 last week, so signs point to yes.

Positive results for old school anime / manga.
How many younger readers going get into it though? I hope some.

Wow! I can't get over how many Leiji Matsumoto titles are getting licensed lately. I think it's important to financially support releases of older/more indie titles, so I'll be buying this as soon as it comes out.

Hopefully I'll be one! I do think it's possible for younger people to get into his stuff. I'm a younger fan (grew up in the 90s and mainly like 90s-modern anime), but I still fell in love with Captain Harlock and Galaxy Express 999 when I gave them a watch on Crunchyroll.

I'm so happy with Seven Seas and their classic line, even if none of the announced titles has actually come out yet. So far, everything has been either a Matsumoto or Nagai title, but I hope they'll consider works by others, too, if these do well enough. There's a lot of older manga that I'd love to see released.

oh wow the Manga version of Yamato which includes elements that weren't used in the TV show like Mamoru Kodai becoming a space pirate fighting Gamilas under the name of Captain Harlock.

If we could get a complete "Cyborg 009" digital release, I would like to see that happen.
