This appears to be the synthesis of Sound of the Sky, Planetarian and Made in Abyss. Something of which to remain aware, perhaps.

Good to see that the show is true to the manga. In the sense of the visual. I hope its true to the manga when it comes to the story.

The animation is more on point that I thought it would be. And the OST is beautiful in both PV's. backgrounds are gorgeous, Familiar voice actors, I love it.
Also they did a good job with the 3D. |

Your comment is somewhat correct, this story's world setting being closet to Planetarian: Chiisana Hoshi no Yume.Just the world setting-not the rip at your heart strings bits. Shōjo Shūmatsu Ryokō/Girl's last tour-A slice of life story set on a dead world about two girls of a dying civilization riding about on their kettenkrad. |

And that makes me incredibly excited for it! I think this kind of stuff is honestly my favorite thing that anime does. |

Alas, it appears to be an Anime Strike title. Since I only learned about the series earlier today, I can chalk up the loss as a mere case of easy come, easy go.

I enjoyed this in manga format, but I never thought it'd be made into anime... and it looks pretty faithful.

I'am starting to think potential viewers are getting the wrong impression of the story. This is a pretty laid back slice of life kinda of story. |

Dude its white fox. Regardless of the source, they are going to make this a tear jerker by default. |

That's really not how studios work. They don't just decide they are going to make everything dark and sad and force everyone who comes to work on a project there to fall in line. I feel like people just ignore half of a studio's output every time they come up with these sorts of declarations and studio identities. |

It may not be how a studio works, doesn't mean its not more likely to happen with this studio due to various other reasons. |

I think it's likely to be a little bit of a sad show based on the source material. But that's really it. This being a White Fox show has nothing to do with it, and you can't reasonably say that it's more likely to be dark because of them. The producer on this project would be the most likely indication of this being dark beyond the source material, but he isn't even employed by White Fox, he's mostly associated with Kadokawa Media Factory and his work is made up of stuff like New Game, Nozaki-kun, and Galko-chan. So, yeah, not seeing any reason why this would be dark other than the source material. |
