I'm a simple man. I see "Hellsing Ultimate" and I'm instantly on board. Finally, a reason to stay on CR for a bit longer........that's if they also got the English dub that is. If not, then oh well, consider my excitement nulled.

I'm pretty sure the deal between CR and Funi, was that Funi got the dubs, and CR stuck with the sub. So if you want dubs, go to Funi. CR rarely gets dubs. (Outside of Aniplex Anime that is.)

Does the original Hellsing TV anime even exist in quality that isn't eye cancer? Even back in the DVD days this show looked like a 240p upscale.

Why do I picture CR as some homeless guy rummaging through the dumpsters behind Funimation's studios?

My relationship with Hellsing Ultimate is a long and troubled one; I'd watch an episode, thought it was terrible but then I waited a year for another episode, hoping that it'd get better but nope, terrible. Always terrible. I finally gave up after episode 8.

I love the TV series but that OVA series is just... I could say it's like they took the concept of "subtlety" and bludgeoned it to death with "plotting" except that's exactly what they did. I really should have quit after the episode with the vampire who "battled" using playing cards or the vampire who "fought" using the really long rifle or the vampire who was, I kid you not, a vampire... yeah, that happened but only because she wasn't there to fight Alucard...but finally gave up after all those vampires and vampires and vampires... after years of waiting, those evil vampires managed to turn all of Europe; No they didn't, that would have been "something"... after all those vampires lost.

To a vampire. Not really a surprise at this point but... how...
Yeah, great series but then again, maybe the next episode flips the "super god mode who only ever comes close to losing because of ennui" switch to off... is what I thought every single episode.

The first Hellsing was a rushed series while the manga was still being created.
Hellsing Ultimate is a masterpiece that's loyal to the original manga.

It is more like your biggest frenemy has moved into your apartment (because you can no longer pay the rent for yourself) and he is raiding your fridge for the tasty stuff you have been hoarding all this time Anime hyper

Looking at what's available on Funimation's youtube channel. I guess the series inherently just looks a bit blurred.
