Man, Jill Harris and Jeannie Tirado have been getting tons of roles recently.
EDIT: I just realized that this is my 666th post. Yikes.

^ I love it, because those two are my favorite new voice actresses.

The casting is pretty standard for recent broadcast dubs from Funimation. I can't say it fills me with much excitement as a dubbing fan but there's always the next casting announcement.

I wonder if the original VAs of Suzuka and Yamato will be returning...
Anyhow, the main cast seems pretty solid!

@Gemnist: Even in Japan, when you have the next wave of voice actors, you will use them a lot. On whether or not they overused, that can happen. Heck, I think Japan is more guilty of re-using the same talent over and over (KanaHana, especially).
@Mr. Oshawott: I would think that Todd and Leah will be returning. The Japanese voices are returning

seriously? of all animes this season they could give a simuldub they chose fuuka?. fuuka!! is the source manga supposed to be superpopular or something? or did I missed some breaking news?
This show is as generic as they can possibly get. a music band love triangle (go figure) featuring love interests and family circumstances that seem out of a late 90's visual novel complete with bland pushover protagonist and all. oh, excuse me, this one has people engaged in their cellphones or the lack thereof as a theme.
A guy being tricked/forced into going to a date or joining a club, and going along for no justified reason (we don't even get an internal monologue of why he might be ok with it) was not fun on the early 2000s and it still is not. why would they try so hard to copy that formula?
this wouldn't be so much of a problem if it at least was fun, but it isn't, aside from having some effective cliffhangers, I couldn't call this show engaging at all. it isn't even remarkable in the technical department not even its music which normally would be the focus.
I am sorry, I am just sincerely shocked. This occurrence is just so weird that I have no choice but to doubt my perception of what is mainstream

People never seem to realize it because Japanese voices all sound the same, but yeah, they are the worst offenders of recasting. I mean, Kiba, Light, Tamaki, Kid, Okabe, Tsukiyama, Ling, Matsuoka, and Masaomi (Mamoru Miyano) are all voiced by the same sub actor, and yet everyone gives flack to the dub actor that plays Rin, Kirito, Eren, Meliodas, Shiro, and well - Masaomi (Bryce Papenbrook). Can't we respect a person by their performances and not by how many they have? (Of Papenbrook's I mentioned, the only one I don't really like is Shiro and that's just because he sounds nothing like Sam Riegel - the whole dub was subpar honestly). As for Todd and Leah, they should be returning since they've done simuldubs multiple times in the past. And even then, they could come back for the DVD, since Shelby Lindley just reprised her Noragami role for the DVD after Caitlin Glass served as substitute for the simuldub (the same better be done for Travis Willingham and D.Gray-man Hallow).

Yeah, that's why they dubbed the Strike Witches spinoff. Wait...
Yeah, because Suzuka was such a hit for them. Wait...
Yeah, because these are the scraps CR is letting them have. What, you think they'd get Konosuba, something people would want to watch dubbed? I think I got it now.
Why am I subscribing to Funimation again?
Also: More Seo, woo.
Exact quote from me from ten years ago regarding his manga "A Town Where You Live." I mean I could hope that this series is written from Fuuka's point of view considering how he writes male characters but I then remember how he writes female leads.

Brave Witches is licensed by CR give it some time I bet funi will dub eventually.
Do you have any evidence Suzuka wasn't a good seller?
Because one show you wanted did not get dubbed (yet) Funi is only getting scraps...there are many shows getting dubbed sure you can find one to watch.
I don't know why your subscribing how you spend your money is none of my business.
Don't you think quoting yourself is kind of lame?
Also I didn't even like Suzuka and will not be watching Fuuka. But there are many of other shows for me to watch so not a big deal. I'm sure most people want a Konosuba dub and if/when that announcement happens ill be there to preorder.

I really wouldn't call them "scraps". The partnership which still includes a Gintama dub and Bungo Stray dogs dub (probably for both seasons). Plus, the type of shows that Funimation has been choosing to dub since the partnership, fall in line with what they normally choose for their simuldubs, i.e Keijo!!!!!!!! is there fanservice choice, Drifters is their action show, Kiss Him, Not Me! is their shojo/ BL/ comedy choice.
As for why has not been Konosuba licensed, it could be any number of issues, including the production committee simply won't let it be licensed by essentially two different parties for streaming and video release/ dub streaming or Konosuba simply has too high a price for Funi. I would not be surprised if they do announce that they would dub both seasons of Konosuba at a later date as per Crunchyroll's Kadokawa deal.
Also, you can apply that same logic you are using as to why Sentai won't licence Konosuba or even Re; Zero (another series that would fall into line with your complaint).

Assuming this is going to be 24+ episodes (split cour included), then Jill may be the lead for for something like 13-16 of those episodes.

The Western consensus is that Fuuka, like KNIM, is a flaming piece of s***. Apparently Japan eats Seo's stuff up though, given how often he's serialized.
That being said, it has memes on its side.

The photo on Jill Harris' Encyclopedia entry reminds me of Anastasia Munoz. Both are sexy ladies.
