After last year I can readily say that having Studio Deen in charge of the animation on this one doesn't worry me like it would have in years past.

Other than that, I'm shocked I hadn't heard about this one before. This sounds like exactly the sort of series I would be extremely pumped for. I'm definitely going to have to keep an eye out for this one and its manga when they launch.

Eda(the author of Kabukibu) is quite known the BL world, some mangaka have turned her works into manga. If you aren't into BL and the likes, then you shouldn't be so shocked, because outside of the BL cirlcle, she's practically unknown.

Kabukibu is one of her very few none BL work.

There's also the fact that a lot of light novels aimed at females rarely get much exposure, let alone anime adaptations. I think the only LN aimed at females that got adapted to anime are from the top of my head: Saiunkoku monogatari, the 12 Kingdoms, Blood +, Shounen Onmyouji, Maria-sama ga Miteru, Kyou Kara Maou, Hakushaku to Yousei, Mirage of Blaze, Uraboku, Knight Hunters, Gosick....

I think it's a good thing it got published in magazine such as Young Ace. Males, especially the ones in Japan, don't very often read or support LNs/manga etc. that are targeted to females, unfortunately.
