Seems like an interesting film. To be honest,I've never heard of either of these people before. It'd be fascinating to see this movie. Personally,I'd like a biopic of painters I've actually heard of and I don't have to look up in the library or on Wikipedia.

$25K? What is that, maybe1,500 total admissions? I'll be curious to see how full the Landmark in Kendall Square Cambridge near MIT is tomorrow morning when I go. They sold out four showings of Shin Godzilla just last weekend. Miss Hokusai obviously appeals to a smaller niche, but Landmark expects enough traffic to offer five showings each day this weekend, three with subs, and four more showings each day for the next week. It says a lot about the anime audience here that the two subtitled screenings are being shown at night, while the dubbed version is relegated to the afternoon.
