Man, i don't know what to think of this. On one side I am excited but a sequel to a masterpiece is essentially just milking it.

I don't know what the novels are about, but the spin-off manga have been pretty good expansions of the mythos, and the movie was a nice denouement for the story, so I'm hopeful for this.

Maybe the novel was cancelled because it was too similar to/was used as the basis to the new project.

>No platform for the game has been announced.
But that surely won't be Xbone/Xbone exclusive.

Well, the sequel of the first season was the film (Steins;Gate: Burdened Domain of Déjà vu)..... So, would the new anime be the sequel of the film (Kinda like the 3rd adaption since the 2nd adaption is the film)??

Once the word sequel appears, I start to feel fear and excitement. It had a good ending, but I did want more episodes because I loved the story and the characters. Tuturuu~

I suppose I should be excited that one of my most beloved anime is getting a sequel, but, like others here, I a conflicted about it. The original anime has a great ending. The best I can hope is for good anime content that does not screw the original.

Hopefully it won't turn into another Darker Than Black/Black Butler/Psycho-Pass situation with a great first season and a bad second.

Considering that the other semicolon titles were licensed by them, I'd be surprised if Funi didn't license this.

I just hope people read the beta worldline manga and listen to the drama cd cause it's what 0 is using as it's base story.
About time they animated it though, it's a really interesting storyline that ties in with Robotics;Notes since the Amadeus system is well It's the system Airi and Kimijima are stored on and they explain the fact that the uploads don't always work / have the same personality as the original.
