I really wanna play this as I never finished the first. I went to the Pharos and Great Crystal before completing the final dungeon and the horror of the Great Crystal scarred me.

I've been kinda meh about all the FF remasters coming out....but okay I really want this one, especially since it has gameplay updates.
Plus, my favorite thing about FF12 was the vast, sprawling dungeons and environments, and I really want to experience that in 3D, holy cow. I love the environments in this game - those alone catapulted FF12 to my second-favorite FF behind FF9. Adding this to my wishlist for sure. |

Really looking forward to this, seems like there is a lot of new additions from the original that will make it worth buying. Looking forward to the most playing through with Japanese audio and doing more then 9999 damage.

Will this update fix the weakest summons ever, the lamest endgame, Ashe's wardrobe malfunctions, and Van's utter lack of personality? |

This game was probably one of the most impressive-looking games of the sixth generation, if not the best-looking game. The sheer scale of the world was always impressive as well. Even without the improvements seen here, I still wonder how they fit such a massive game on PS2 media, and then ran it virtually without any choppiness or slowdown on PS2 hardware. Those summons and quickening sequences? More impressive effects were probably not pulled off for the first three years of the seventh generation, I'd wager.
Looking at the present, I can actually see an improvement, which is rather rare without a side-by-side comparison when it comes to what are essentially HD texture packs being applied to old models. But god! That music. If there's one weakness Final Fantasy XII always did have back then, it was how utterly compressed the music sounded compared to its separately-released soundtrack. Remembering how this song originally sounded, I am blown away by how it sounds now. This was once my favourite game, and might still be. I think this is going to be grand. If I don't end up buying a PlayStation 4 Pro for Final Fantasy XV, I am definitely buying it for this (and Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir). |

I kind of lost interest in Final Fantasy after X-2 but I've had several people tell me I'd probably like XII so this will be a good chance to try it out.

Well, our collection will finally own a copy. Now if someone will put together a collection of Persona 3 and 4 on PS4. Oh and would be nice if they did a whole collection of Persona games on PS4. Or the Atlus collection of every MegaTen game including DDS series. All on PS4 and XBX. For people to have the experience. Now that would be something.
