I read that as "we're targeting whales of the sort that prop up games like Fate Grand Order and Idolish7!" I mean it's no secret at this point what Japanese mobage really are about and how they make their easy money. I want them to stay out of anime the same kind of way that I want Aniplex to stay the hell out of video games but obviously I won't get my wish cause Japanese companies have committed to a business strategy for the second half of this decade and it's unfortunately a really shitty TAKE THAT MONEY based one.

At first I read this as a joking "GOTTA TAKE THAT MONEY" sort of jab and then I noticed it's the typical half ironic "I'm throwing money at you hahahaha" quip that people like to make as a contribution to a thread cause I guess it's......funny? Anyway please don't do this, don't be like one of this people and value your earnings and money. There's nothing here for you worth saying something like that ironically or not.

Sony owns Aniplex... so you're a couple years too late to stop that.

As far as this game, it appears (according to other news sources) to be a console game in the making. The term 'high-end consumers' probably refers to people who buy games that are like full console games. Although the term does sound like a euphemism for 'rich people'.

Well provided they stay the hell away from this it might actually turn out decent as Yazmat and Yoshida are behind some of the most charming and involved universes that Square Enix ever managed to put out like the Ivalice Alliance and Bravely Default for example. Given time to work together without corporate meddling the prospects might actually be exciting if it turns out there's a console game here and not just a mobage. Then again they could just end up being the latest example of people to give up on their past glory and sell out to whatever is popular nowadays who knows.

Not to make fans angry or anything like that, but I kinda wonder when japanese games will just stop having these teaser trailers and overall trailers that shows nothing about the game itself...
I mean, I know some western games still have this and they were pretty prevalent in the past (probably diminished in importance after several problems with pre-rendered scenes and misleading trailers), but am I being too self serving when asking trailers to have at least a little bit of gameplay on them if the studios responsible for it want even a little bit of my attention?
I'm just so tired of watching these japanese game trailers without any real game content. How am I supposed to evaluate the games themselves?
