Social links look pretty cool this time, personally looking forward to Japanese Mayor Dewey .

That 12 year old shooting game player with a hat that reads 'get smokes' is GOLD lmaooo. I assume he's a reference to kids who play cod.

This is a better way of advertising the game than any wasteful anime commercial and talk session thing. Just show me the game, make it look fun, that's all that's needed. No idea why these Japanese companies feel the need for so much excess and distractions lately. Are millenials just that hard to get the attention of or something? |

Huh, I kind of expected Makoto and Haru to also be ice skating around instead of just sitting in the full OP sequence.

Well the truth is that a more cohesive story through a short anime will better convey the story towards potential audiences than a game play demo in Japan where it seems given the genre is a turn based strategy game, audiences would be more interested in what the story is or who the characters are in order to know why pick this turn based RPG over that other one. I find it to be common for games in Japan to advertise in this manner rather than focusing extended gameplay. Naturally if your commercial is also actually an anime they can also sell it later or as a more expensive version's bonus. |

Nice OP, glad to see Yusuke with the rest of the squad. But where's Gotou though? He's in the cover but not in the opening? Huh.

For better or worse, that's how most games (and anime) are marketed nowadays. The whole "transmedia" approach where your game has an accompanying anime, manga, book, etc. seems to be the norm with any big release. |
