Please be consistent in its animation, Studio Shuka, this one looks promising, please don't mess this up like Durarara x2

Their stuff for Psycho-Pass and Tokyo Ghoul were great. Looking forward to another great OP from them.
Nice choice for the ED too, still remember ELISA's song for Expelled from Paradise, stuck in my head for ages. |

The fact that they got TK on board for this one kind of gives me a good idea of what sort of tone they're going for with this series. He's always seemed to perform tracks for much darker tales, and this wonderful sounding gangster story seems to be right up that alley. I'm really looking forward to this one in the summer, it's just another entry in the already massive lineup of stuff for me to watch this summer.

Dreadful artist for the opening. Elisa is at leat tolerable. Not pleased but not surprised that Sony Music seems to be on the production committee for this one.

Dreadful artist for the opening. Elisa is at leat tolerable. Not pleased but not surprised that Sony Music seems to be on the production committee for this one. People seem to like a lot of their artists for what are admittedly some unique voices, but I think a lot of them just sound unnatural and not at all pleasant to listen too. TK Ling is one of the worst with that weird high pitched rasp thing their lead singer does. Almost all of the artists they choose for plugging in anime's musical arrangement just tends to sound like garbled noise to me too. It'll be a popular theme song with the younger generations of fans but I'm expecting a really hard clash with what it seems like the show is trying to do unless that's just another hard bait and switch.
Again I associate Sony working in anime with ideas that sound kind of cool and unique at first but rapidly reveal themselves to be self serving for their music brands the more things wear on causing the entire project to suffer greatly as an expense and end up something far less than the some of it's parts. I'm getting a sense of here we go again which is why I didn't get too excited right away even though this shows premise is a rare one to catch my eye. |

Do OP and ED artists have to be from the same company? See for example One Punch Man having JAM Project (Lantis) for OP and Hiroko Moriguchi (King) for ED, neither of whom do voice acting. |

No problem at all, I think we end up with richer musical experiences for anime when different combinations of artists and composers/lyricists are used well. Even some of the "unused" music for anime can be great, e.g. 誰がために sung by Chiaki Ishikawa from the album "Another Sound of 009 Re:Cyborg" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tomh1SGQTr8. |
