They already released a PSvita game this year, so probably won't be a home console release until next year.

I just thought of something, if Microsoft had wanted to sell Xbox One units in Japan, they should have made a deal for a home console release over a year ago.
Kancolle exclusive for Xbox one could have been this generations version of Idolmaster on the 360.

The new arcade game of KanColle has boosted the franchise's popularity to newer heights, which then ended up being a bit too good...

There's no such thing as too good in this sense as far as arcade games go. From the arcade owner's perspective, the machines are constantly getting the maximum possible play. The only thing the operators need to watch out for is parts or electronics breaking down from prolonged and heavy use or, if it uses coins or tokens of some sort, to watch for when the coin box fills up.
This situation is just like in the 1930s when store owners saw long lines of people waiting to play Contact. All they had to do was find more space for more Contact machines, and they'd literally get hundreds of dollars per day from the machines without having to do anything (NOT adjusted for inflation).

Up to a sixteen hour wait time, damn that's a long wait KanColle most certainly does have some pretty hardcore fans.

That's the only arcade in Akiba that still has Virtua Fighter. Why couldn't they have stuffed the Kancolle in Gigo or that Annex by the other station exit? The VF floor is always busy, don't break my heart Sega!
