He should make some Megaman levels for his own game. I know he says 'the work is done' but from what I'm able to play from what I paid for, that's nothing.

He's a business man, not a programmer. And if he was, he's obviously not the only one. His work is mostly done for Mighty Number 9, When he announced RED ASH, it was only because he was mostly finished with Mighty Number 9, the same for the "creative" team.

I don't mean to be snarky, but Chrno2 is right. Understandably so, the man is human and not completely (or maybe solely is a better word) responsible for the Mighty No. 9 delays. But two months without an update, and there are about 12,000 backers who might flip their shit if they read this article from a certain angle. I am all for being patient, but the hordes be hungry. Inafune-sama does not deserve the disrespect of some of those posted comments, but like a swarm of angry bees, someone is going to get stung.

"I chose the Super Mario World skin, because the more recent Mario games are too modern for my taste"...
Then why does Mighty No 9 look like a modern 2.5D Early Access nightmare?
Just...wow.

And that's the most game design Inafune has ever done.

Inafune constantly gets credit for being the creator of Mega Man and it always confused me. He was just a background artist. The original games were directed and produced by Akira Kitamura and Takashi Nishiyama.

I have to say, the level is fun and challenging and brings back memories! However, I'm not sure if many others share the same feeling, if the development of Mighty No. 9 is of any concern...

The jumps in Inafune's level prove to be quite a challenge.
If Inafune made an Air Man-themed level, I bet only the most hardcore can finish it.

Just thinking the same. What a frighteningly ironic statement.

That has always bothered me. I understand crediting him with X, but his involvement in the original games was late and in the actual background for the first two or three games.

A little off topic but 2% relevant to the article, when is the Super Mario-kun manga going to get it's own entry into the encyclopedia? I'm pretty sure I saw it in the pending list and even confirmed it as a legit title.

Exactly. I mean yes he's human. But as a person who is involved with the video game collection her at the college it's bad to put in for pre-orders that are delayed. All I do is pick the games put them on a list and when it seems they will be available after a long delay I move the title to a priority list. Mighty No. 9 HAD a release date for Spr/Sum of this year. So it was ordered by the people in charge of ordering. Which now was stupid because someone decided to ordered it out of the order I had set. Then it was announced to be delayed. And when that happened I wanted to move it back to non-priority. Now it's delayed again. It is because of this reason alone I stopped ordering games that have these "supposed" release dates only to be delayed for the next few years or cancelled altogether. We had a purchase for the latest Tom Clancy game. Look at how long that game took and the title was changed but it came out finally. FFXIII Versus is now FFXV. Look how long that too. And let's not talk about The Last Guardian. But those are different examples. So now I don't put anything on the list until I see for sure that game is OUT.
But yeah, fans are upset because they want updates to let them know what's going on. If you do that you keep the faith of your fans and the people that funded the project. It's trust between the person who is asking for a project to be funded from consumers and the consumers who emptied their wallets to faithfully fund the project.
But then again you got some people who fund developers who mismanage funds on KS for projects, pump out something lackluster but keep giving them money anyway. But that's another story.

I'm a backer, but I don't mind. What irks me more is that he put a Warp Pipe on the uppermost part of the course. You have to be very careful when constructing courses with the Airship theme, because the camera moves slightly up and down and will obscure things on the very top and bottom of the screen.
