The Polygon website's YouTube channel streams an interesting series called "Devs Make Mario" where video game developers like Castlevania's Koji Igarashi and Shovel Knight's level designer Michael Herbster make their own Mario levels in Super Mario Maker.
The latest developer is Mega Man's Keiji Inafune. He created a jump-focused level with a retro feel.
Inafune is currently working on the crowd-funded Mighty No. 9 multi-platform game. The is slated for release this spring after multiple delays.
Yukio Sawada, the author of manga series Super Mario-kun made his own Super Mario Maker level. One user replaced Mario with Mega Man instead.
