Movies that are part of a series have always been a frustration for me. Sometimes they don't get licensed at all despite having rights to the tv series. Sometimes they do, but it's long afterward, or they might dub a series, but not the movie so it feels inconsistent.

Figures being potential spoilers comes down to the lead time on production. The best chance to sell them is during the run of a movie or tv broadcast, but it oftentimes takes several months to a year before they are ready to ship. They will care far less about spoilers when it risks missing the chance at the most sales. In this case specifically, they already released a pretty good amount of figures for Akane and Rikka, so Akane in a brand new outfit was the most marketable thing there. Spoilers are annoying, but a company like Good Smile has to look out for itself.

I think that it would have worked better as an unusual episode count TV anime as some part felt a bit rushed especially with secondary character's writing like Hime but beside that it was what i hoped to conclure this franchise, the action was good and Rikka is still thigh goddess.

Crunchyroll, in particular, is just bad about handling movies attached to series in a way that other companies are not. For instance, the KonoSuba movie has been available on BD in the UK for almost a year, but no sign of it in North America. Sentai, Discotek and Aniplex manage to get them licensed and out the door, but if something's not broken up into episodes then Crunchyroll can barely give a damn most of the time.

One of my favorite "canon" movies, alongside Night is Short, Walk on Girl. I can just put it them at anytime and I end up having a great time.

The movie's rights were naturally picked up by Crunchyroll, who had inherited the franchise from their acquisition of Funimation.
Important correction here, FUNimation acquired Crunchyroll, not the other way around. The ANN article's headline even stated this.
Quote:
Sony's Funimation Global Group Completes Acquisition of Crunchyroll from AT&T (Updated)

Sony Pictures Entertainment and AT&T announced on Monday that Sony's Funimation Global Group has completed its acquisition of Crunchyroll from AT&T. The purchase price was US$1.175 billion, and the proceeds were paid in cash at closing.

In March 2022, they rebranded as Crunchyroll, LLC. Crunchyroll, LLC (FUNimation) and Crunchyroll continue to exist simultaneously.

In addition to consolidation of SVOD services, Sony-owned Funimation Global Group, LLC will now operate as Crunchyroll, LLC and has initiated rebranding across its global footprint to solidify Crunchyroll as the single, global brand for anime.

There's multiple companies with the name Crunchyroll now.
