High School DxD BorN (TV) Genres: action, comedy, romance, supernatural Themes: demons, developing powers, ecchi, harem, high school Third season of the High School DxD franchise. ---------------------------------- One of the better harems imo with a well focus on its plot and characters. This didn't surprise me that it got another season. I'm expecting it to adapt another 1 cour based on the light novels so expecting at least 2 story arcs. Just started the first season. Literally watching the first episode now. Hopefully I can get all caught up by the time Born airs. People have kept suggesting this anime to me.
I'll be honest, I am getting a bit burned out on the whole high school setting. I won't lie about that. But, I just had to comment because literally 5 minutes into the first episode and already boobs with a hot girl taking a shower in the middle of a school day. I had to laugh already at that and from the immediate pervy action of the main protagonist. I hope I like the show enough to continue on with it. I keep finding shows I like then get into them only to find out they got 1-2 seasons and that was it. This one comes highly recommended. We'll see. |

There is another anime similar to this one? Not just fan service, with a decent animation and plot.

many fan service shows have decent story and animation. Just this season, you get a few of them like The Testament of Sister New Devil, World Break, ect.

Episode 1:
Fabulous. High School DxD spoiler[uncensored glory. Started with a bed scene, then the usual stuff with all the club members, and of course Rias.] I think this spoiler[season might cover quite a bit with what's shown in the OP song though.] Anyways, hoping for the best but so far, expectations have been met! |

How are they going to tease me like that spoiler[with a fight against a cool as hell Dragon Demon and not have Issei go full on dragon armor at least for a few?]
I know it's sad that in an ecchi, harem, action comedy I am actually invested in Issei's power set and the fighting/action. Overall first new season episode was decent. |

In the words of Issei "Them spoiler[titties] are back and they are Glor-i-ous!" It was so good to watch a show like this uncensored, i'm looking at you The Testament of Sister New Devil. The opening spoiler[bed scene] was a great way to kick things off with bothspoiler[ Issei and Koneko seemingly having some problems of late.] The spoiler[training battle] between the group and spoiler[Tannin the Dragon] was pretty nice, if not a little short. I'm sure he'll have a part to play somewhere. Though thanks to that, we had a great little spoiler[bath scene] to finish off with spoiler[Azazel bringing out the best/ pervy side of Issei with a prep talk about... nipples!] Oh yeah, and Akeno is still best girl. |

Hooray for season 3 where we can enjoy the guilty pleasure of demons and boobs. Actually there is something I am disappointed with, the ED. The first season had the girls sensually in sexy underwear with mirror images, a pole dance scene, and done to Study X Study. Second Season had them dancing barely clothed in animal costumes, and Lovely Devil was also not bad... plus adorable Gasper. This one pretty much has them either in normal clothes with I think a couple panty shots, or nude, which completely ruins the point of what made last seasons so great. And no Gasper in it. Oh, I apparently missed an OVA. Watching now. |
