Sure, these are really nice quality of life improvements for the PS VR, but they mean nothing if the thing still runs using hardware almost a decade old for tracking. As cheap as it is, we need a new tracking system that isn’t “orbs of light” for a solid experience.

I hope those earbuds are easily replaced :0
Speaking of VR, has anyone heard if HTC is actually planning to release a sequel to the Vive? Or was that a rumor..?

Something like this is better saved for their next console generation, where no doubt the external box's components will be built in.

True. In the event the PS5 has VR, with new tracking features, I’ll hop on regardless of the price. Until then, I’ll still be here suffering my way through Resident Evil 7 because my migranes and constant VR sickness are preventing me from still beating it.

Beefing up the VR would be the ONLY reason we would ever see a PS5 console (unless it's to apologize for PS4's "No 4K UHD" in-house fighting), and the PS VR would have to catch a lot more fire than it's enjoying at the moment for that to happen.
It's catching on slowly if at all, but don't get me wrong, I'm still hoping to get that headset--
But I'll have to go for the current US model if they don't hurry up with the NA announcement for the new one.

yes they are but any definitive spec are not quite available. I wouldnt be complaining about the VR experience on PS4 unless you wanna spend £6k for Great VR set up using Vive & lightboxes. Im happy with current VR set up. So PS5 will be as closely matched with vive of that time. We aint getting NerveGear just yet but what we have is really good
