Why is Shokugeki no Soma not in this? It is a legitimate cooking manga that is jam packed with cooking terms.

Seriously America needs to have a program like this so schools,collages,libraries, and ect. acknowledge manga as valuable resources of education.!If there is a petition I wonder how many signatures will be on it.?

About Yuri I think you're lumping together works like Aoi Hana and Revolutionary Girl Utena with the likes of the recently debuted Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid.
About Yaoi... don't know any. As such, I cannot judge.
