Sshh, don't give them any ideas! It's hard enough trying to get the current amiibos that aren't the shelf-warming ones.

I never thought it would happen. Although I find it funny people wear the items and don't even know what they have

I wonder this will increase the Squid Girl anime presence tenfold. I believe the 1st season's bilingual version is still on Netflix and of course the rest is on Crunchyroll.

It was inevitable. But now I REALLY want a Wii-U.

I'm very ecstatic that the U.S. is finally going to play as Squid Girl in Splatoon!
Well, playing as a female Inkling dressed up as Squid Girl, that is.

Is there actually a list of the amiibos that are so hard to find versus the ones that aren't? Oh the days when folks had their own written lists of either Magic cards, Pokemon figures, etc... that they needed to find.
Damn I this could be fun getting Squid Girl involved. But this is just as good.

I support this idea.
The game has been tons of fun since the update. Back then there wasn't too much, but there's a lot more content now.

Anyone know how to get the costume? I don't see it in the Splatoon store.

I would roughly say that out of all the currently release amiibos, at least 2/3rds of them are hard to find. Because Nintendo didn't make a lot of them (Little Mac, Pit, Capt Falcon, the Fire Emblem ones, for example) and/or they are store exclusives (Meta Knight, Rosalina, Greninja, Shulk, Ness, ect.).
Basically, any amiibo that isn't Mario/Luigi/Peach/Yoshi/Bowser/Pikachu/Zelda you are gonna have either a semi-hard time finding or "gotta resort to importing/scalpers/ebay" to get them.

It appears randomly in the shops. Or you could order it from someone that is wearing the Squid Girl items in your lobby. Same with the new Famitsu set (sushi chef outfit).

Squid Girl, has an Episode without any word being said. Only full of emotions and everyone would understand it.
If you do not know Squid Girl yet and do not understand Japan or English Subtitels or Dubs, then this Episode is for you. (Shinryaku! Ika Musume/Squid Girl - Season 1, Episode 5 the B Part, Year 2010)

I'm really glad about the publicity this is going to give Squid Girl and anime in general.
And of course, The Wii U has a Netflix app and I believe a Crunchyroll app as well, so people who haven't heard of it might be inclined to watch it. Squid Girl is also a pretty harmless PG anime (and has a dub!) so I think Splatoon's target audience will like it.

Well, the Character Creator of this Game, is the one that also created the Squid Girl. You can say, the Game Industry found "suddenly" the Anime Industry and doing now cross overs. Like some Beat'n Up game, receive now tones of Anime Costumes for their Fighters.
