These outfits are nothing more than shameless pandering.
And a part of me is ashamed to admit that I am 100% fine with it.

@Kurohei lmao
oh man the beefcake emperor returns
this seems like just another fanservicey game which is a shame since the persona franchise really doesn't need it.
well then again I've never liked or was good at rhythm games so i guess the allure is lost on me.
hopefully this stuff isnt canon so i can enjoy the future of persona without buying this game

Atlus confirmed this game was canon quite a while ago. I don't see how that should affect your enjoyment of future games, though; it's not like "canon" means "incredibly important/essential."

"The future of Persona?" Uh, let's hope this is the final P4 game. Given previous games, Persona 5 likely won't have much to do with P4.

You expect me to believe canon Naoto, Who refused to join the swimsuit competition, is willing to dance around in front of a crowd in swimwear? Yeah not buying that.

The swimsuits are almost certainly just cosmetic, and probably aren't based on anything that happens in the story. Heck, for all we know alternate costumes might not even work in story mode.

IKR??? Naoto was my fave chara too. They shoulda put her in board shorts and a surf shirt or something like Leo from Tekken. Oh well though Japan gonna Japan :/
I mean
for god's sake it almost seemed as though she really did identify with being a boy more??? Esp. her dungeon where her other self wanted to perform some sort of gender change surgery on her/him??

Not at all. I'm also not surprised that it is a paid/early-purchase item rather than an unlockable.

Naota is like..."shhhhhh...pretend I'm not in a bathing suit". But hey, if you had the guy bathing suits that will be enough to keep the ladies interested.

If she identified herself as a boy I don't think she'd agree to participate in the beauty competition.....or go into the baths with the rest of the girls...... Also that whole bit with her persona in her dungeon had to do with her own insecurities about how certain people perceived her work because of her gender.

Considering how everybody is more apt to remember Persona 3 & 4 because of the social links while Revelations & Innocent Sin (which didn't have them) have largely been forgotten doesn't seem like it.
