April 29th!? Wow, I wasn't expecting it so soon! Granted, that is a Japanese release date, but still.

This is truly the biggest hyped JRPG (well, for me) to come over especially with all those features they described on those direct videos in the past few months. I really hope the U.S. branch announces the release date like say during E3 or something.
I feel like most of my gameplay time will be spent customizing my character and giant robot.

It's a little comforting to know it's as related to Xenoblade as Final Fantasy VII was to VI - that is, not at all except for mechanics and miscellaneous elements. Xenoblade did not need a sequel, and it's nice to see that this isn't one. Too bad there's no plans for it to come to the PC.

Same here!
And I plan to call my character like one of the various Gundam protagonists.

I was never a huge fan of the original Xenoblade like some people were, but this looks pretty interesting and a lot different. I'm definitely looking forward to this one.

Ugliest character model contender for the decade! Or at least for whoever setup the default main character look and feel with the character creator... :p

With all those mecha around are you really looking at the human characters?
Anyway, they could be better, I agree. Next Monolith's game could improve on that. ^^
