That is really weird. Things like this make me wonder what people were thinking when they made or acquired items like this (assuming they were thinking at all).

Really? I tried searching "Evilstick", "Evil Stick" and "Cardcaptor Stick" and didn't come across a single listing for this item. Is this a mistake in the article, or is ANN trying to make this out to be worse than it really is? xD |

The cynical part of me wonders if this is going to be a hoax like the grandmother with her little granddaughter at the KFC. I'm guessing no since there are other copies being sold on ebay.
I've got to wonder what's in the rest of the store... |

Apparently these 'EvilSticks' have a variety of different possible pictures under the foil. http://i.4cdn.org/toy/1415470398784.jpg It seems like the maker may have done a google image/photobucket search on 'creepy shit'...although that doesnt explain the one with the cherubs.
This would be insanely funny to me but the picture of the demon girl is legit horrifying to me. It seems like something out of an old horror movie - if you get the EvilStick with the demon girl slitting her wrists, she'll crawl out of the wand a la The Ring and slit yours...! ...I don't know but something about the weird way that picture looks just straight up gives me the heebyjeeby nightmares.

What's hilarious is I just saw one of these at a corner store a couple of weeks ago. I didn't notice the "evil stick" name though haha.

Man that was disturbing, and these "evil stick" carried images of Cardcaptor Sakura on the packages, great way to mislead people and this is copyright infringement I believe, do I expect any lawsuit coming out of Japan anytime soon???

Oh, gawd another crazy bootleg. Someone call 'Jeepers' he'd love something like this. But it seems these days folks don't know how to inspect things before they give them to children. And what's with all these $1 stores with their cheap crap, and lead paint. Believe me I wouldn't shop at these stores for such garbage. We already got places selling stuff a grade higher from the same source. And we keep buying the crap.
But nice wand. I'd buy it just for the YUKS. |

I'd let a kid have that. The image looked a bit gruesome from afar but when the news video showed it on close-up it was so ridiculously over-the-top I laughed.
Also now I want one. (And what was this chick expecting from an "Evil Stick"?) |
