I had seen him around for a long time, but it didn't really sink in till now that he has been with Manga UK for ten years.

The UK anime industry is really getting crowded now, I guess I'm glad to see more competition and Jerome stick around in some sense but we have had a lot of names disappear and just appear out of nowhere in the last few years.

Wish Jerome and Animatsu the best and hope that Manga UK fights on as well.

Not being a con-goer I only really became aware of the personalities behind the companies when social media took off. I've still only actually met Tony, if nervously buying some discs at a small local expo counts as 'meeting'.

I hope it is a Anime publisher, we only have 3; Manga UK, MVM and Anime limited. There is Kaze but they seem to mostly cover France.

I wonder what will happen to Manga UK now... I guess they'll have to find people to fill their positions. I just hope it is people that are actually interested in anime and know what they are doing.

It's sad they are leaving but I'm interested in this Animatsu thing. Smile

yeah i agree, it would be nice to have a new publisher, well at least to localise some extra stuff (we don't see enough of them subbed only series in my eyes, i know we get them but seems sub<dub at the current standing).

Either way i hope something good comes of it.

Manga UK should hire me, i will give them an idea of what's good and what isn't xD
Fact is they need people interested in anime to truly understand what wants exist, of course everyone's tastes are different but from a marketing perspective where you consider everything regardless, it isn't useful having someone in the job who is there because "it's just a job", interest in the job and the marketing subject (so anime in this case) is always a move which will result in better profits for companies and better releases for fans.
