Why is a light novel on the manga list?
Also, surprising to see not even a single Viz Media title. |

I thought Nisekoi would be there somewhere, cause I think I saw it on the list the other week. I just started reading it and I'm really enjoying it. It's cool that Noragami's that high up though. I haven't read the manga or seen the anime but it's always nice to see any manga series that isn't the "big three" or whatever making the charts.

Yeah, Kodansha USA seem to have been taking over as the "dominant publisher" since Attack On Titan blew up. Attack On Titan + spin offs as well as Fairy Tail and now Noragami all seem to be selling very well for them. Seven Seas have Monster Musume, Vertical have Gundam & Yen still have good performers like Soul Eater. It's hopefully a good thing for consumers that the market seems to have become a more level playing field. |

Viz release all their books at the start of the month, usually in the first full week of a month, so it's not uncommon for their stuff to have dropped off by the end of the month.

To North American bookstores, "Manga" is a category. Japanese manga, Korean manhwa, OEL, light novels, and art books all fall under this section umbrella. |

Happy to see that two series I'm collecting, Fairy Tail and Noragami, are in the top 5.
Though, I'm happier about Noragami. It's done so well with this first volume. I was expecting to see it drop out of the top 10 after last week, but it somehow was bumped up. It was a good read, and I think that the start to the series in the manga was slightly different to the anime. Pretty sure the first chapter or two weren't adapted. It's been awhile since I've seen the anime, but I don't remember that opening at all. |

Currently, the image on the ANN home page for this article, and the cover image for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin #7 with the article, is for Viz's 2003 release, not Vertical's 2014 2-in-1 release. Also, Vertical's Vol. 2 release has a similar cover to Viz's Vol. 7 release.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin - Battle of Loum (GN 7), 2014-09-30: release#25896 Gundam: The Origin (GN 7), 2003-10-15: release#22055 Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin - Garma (GN 2), 2013-06-25: release#22179 |

I'm really happy with The Origin being #1. Such a great manga.
