The Ferrari sisters of Galilei Donna would fit into this list, I think.
Answered the poll assuming crying due to emotional content.
Crying due to laughter: Mitsudomoe
Crying due to awfulness: Soul Link

The only anime that ever made me cry were Clannad and Angel Beats!, but I chose Clannad since I watched it first. Speaking of sad anime, I'm kinda disappointed there was never an adaptation of the visual novel Ever 17. The amount of depression that would come from that would be ridiculous.

Too many options that have made me cry in that list, but in the end chose One Piece. Multiple moments that make the tears well up, even on rewatch for the nth time. Nami's backstory and first cry for help, Robin's backstory and declaration to live, Chopper's story and finally joining the crew. And then some happy tears like their farewell to Vivi and Alabasta.

I chose Grave of the Fireflies because it's guaranteed to make me cry the hardest every single time, but others that have made me cry at some point as I watched them...
...Cowboy Bebop, Fantastic Children, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gankutsuou, Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2nd Gig, Honey & Clover, Inuyasha, Kaiba, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Mawaru Penguindrum, Monster, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal, Trigun, Wolf's Rain, X, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Hi no Tori: Yamato Chapter, Millennium Actress, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Princess Mononoke, Tokyo Godfathers...
...okay, so I'm very prone to crying, especially to what I call "empathy crying," when a character I like starts crying I do too even if I'm not feeling that sad. I think it's just my body's way of releasing stress. If we included manga that I've cried over, this list would get even longer, with Barefoot Gen right at the top.

I picked Sailor Moon for the poll because of a certain episode in Classic... I'm glad they kept the episode in tact in the dub, and I think that made it more effective.
I could also add the end of Digimon Tamers (I blame the song...) and the end of Princess Mononoke. I think those are the only ones.

Made me cry the most? Tie between Code Geass and Love Live. Though, Love Live is happy tears. In the end when they had the first season opening as their encore... TT
Zero Requiem beats that for tears, though.

Added Natsume's Book of Friends, since watching the two first episodes the first time was like taking a falcon punch to the throat.
Crying due to badness? Not directly that I can remember, but I sure wanted to when I watched Ozma. I was expecting a proper Matsumoto adventure, and got nothing but herculean shovelloads of shit instead. I have never wanted to cry tears of betrayal as much as when I watched that show.

Gunbuster is always guaranteed to wet your eyes, along with several episodes of LoGH.

Anohana gets me the most and it seems to get worse every watch ha. It would have been Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Time of Eve and Eureka Seven that would have followed.

Several animes on the list have made me cry, but nothing can top Grave of the Fireflies.

Agreed. Happy to hear a Galilei Donna reference.

There have been so many shows that made me cry that I do not even want to try to remember all of them, so I decided to just pick one from the list. Even then there were still too many.
I decided to choose K-On!! because it is one of my favorite shows and it caused both happy tears and sad tears, sometimes in the same scene.

To be completely honest, I cry extremely easily, so it's really hard for me to pick one. Most recently I cried while rewatching Time of Eve, but Grave of the Fireflies is probably the only anime that literally made me sick to my stomach while I was simultaneously balling out of my eyes.

The climaxes of both Macross 7 and Macross Frontier made me choke up. Fire Bomber's "Holy Lonely Light" and Ranka Lee's "Aimo" are just so perfect there.

Cross Game's Tsukishima sisters would also be a good choice for the list, in spite of Wakaba's death in episode 1. That draws the remaining 3 closer together and she's definitely still there in spirit for the rest of the show.
As for the poll, Clannad: After Story, Anohana and Angel Beats are going to get a lot of (well deserved votes). But the show that really made me shed tears (some happy, some sad) is Figure 17.
