Oh boy, can't wait to see what the sequel will have. I need to see the reboot (I wanted to watch it in theater, but my mother's surgery kept me busy from watching it. I hope to rent/borrow it on Blu-ray).

More than likely that's just some placeholder date. Just to say "Hey everyone, a new one is coming out!".
I'd say Early 2016 is much more likely. |

^ i sure hope so. 2018 is an awful long time away. Hopefully Pacific Rim 2 will be out by then to fill the Japanese inspired big movie void.

While I wanted to see this one at the cinema, I missed it. I will see it, but now I won't be in a rush.

No way it would hit that date considering Garth Edwards next film is one of the Star Wars spin offs. I'd rather them take their time anyway then rush a sequel out like so many other franchises do. |
