Nice to see the ratings of other shows for once.
Quite impressed by Hunter x Hunter given the time-slot its airing in.

Perhaps,it has something to do with that week when Dragonball Kai and One Piece didn't air it.

It's a shame that nowadays we only get to see how some of the post-midnight shows are doing when Sazae-san and the other daytime powerhouses take a week off. Good to know Hunter x Hunter still gets good ratings even in the current 01:29 timeslot, but the show will probably end in September after catching up with the manga.

Are these ratings based on the percentage of people watching TV during the time slot?

% of households in the Kanto region watching the program. The Kanto region holds 12 million households so 1% here is about 120k households watching the program. If it is aired nationwide, you then have to add the households from the other regions based on households ratings of these regions (I've seen some for the Kansai region on 2ch here and there but they're not released weekly like those for the Kanto region).

Naruto fans be like : wow 7th !!! look better lot's heavy hitters weren't even on that week
Still kinda stupid that HXH can't hit the ratings big anymore after moving to a late timeslot it just barely got on the list this week.

Finally, after spending so many weeks being on the lower end of the rank, Pokemon XY takes the third slot.
I'm also thrilled that Yōkai Watch is faring well.
