That's why she's very popular in Japan!

I couldn't care less towards either direction towards Lady Gaga (the most I can say is that Weird Al did a couple of hilarious parodies of her songs for his most recent album), but hey, more power to Japan. I enjoyed Miss Monochrome for what it was, so I'm at least somewhat happy to see her get some sort of recognition in the States, even if it was just opening for a vastly more popular American celebrity.

(finally CR'ed the MM anime)
So, are Miss's songs actual vocaloiding, or do we have organic imitations of voice syntheses, for Horie's android character?
(I mean, it's bad if Hatsune Miku now has to spawn cheesy human ripoffs...
Although Miku probably wouldn't be as funny in the anime.)

No, Miku had the "Either you're there for her, or you're totally baffled" opening-act gig, Mono just got her US breakout on an iTunes single.
Which is more than most J-pop can ever be lucky enough to get.

All of Miss Monochrome's voice work is done by Yui Horie herself. The character isn't really a vocaloid imitation, she was a villian "android" character from one of Yui's concerts that was popular, so they started promoting her in other stuff and gave her an anime, etc.
