Lol, this looks like it'll be a nice change from the other romance aimed at the shojo audience. I won't actually fall asleep or get inpatient this time maybe.

to think this isn't even a shojo or romance manga to begin with

? ANN's entry about this says it's "comedy, romance" in a school settting. No mention of shoujo, though.

I expect there'll be romance in the very basic sense (the premise starts with a girl's confession to her crush), but from what I've seen of the online serialization in Japanese, along with my familiarity with the creator's other works, comedy takes priority over any significant romantic developments/resolution.
It's not classified as shoujo, but her other two series were/are written for Hana to Yume, and I don't have a hard time seeing the influence of that demographic I so love on this series :)

I'm hoping that's the case with this series! I prefer my rom-coms with more comedy than romance. ^^;
