after seeing this on twitter all day as well as /v/ 3000 post stick.. all I have to ask is WHY???

It's not nearly as bad as I thought it was gonna be. It's just a television show on par with the games and such. The jokes are still there (Flamebot Joke was hilarious) all you're doing is just being one of those, eh...

I'll probably watch it with my kid. I don't have a big "omg don't destroy it" level of nostalgia for Sonic so the design change ups don't bother me.

I am a little confused by the new "build" for Knuckles but otherwise like what I see (minus Amy's dress).

Doesn't look like something special, but it's not awful or anything. Might be a good way to introduce a generation, and we've only seen a clip.

Can't get past the Knuckles design, though/yet. Why deviate from the original, particularly when the bulk of the games will feature the short version?

Considering the type of role and skills Knuckles would have compared to other characters in various sonic games, the upper body design doesn't bother me at all. Though Knuckles's design change is one thing, the fact all the characters general feel more proportionate to that of a human body after keeping the same designs for 15 years (namely Eggman) is what will take some getting use to.

Didn't watch any of the other Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons (American or Japanese), doubt I'll watch this one, but I may get the 3DS version of the game eventually.

I don't have any big misgivings about the new character designs, but the one thing I find just a little off about Knuckles' new design is that it's vaguely reminiscent of Gossamer from Looney Tunes cartoons, particularly the earlier design when he had beefier arms than the "modern" (re: Space Jam onwards) redesign.

The voice acting could use some improvement; other than that, I think Sonic Boom will fare well. However, Knuckles' buffed-up version of himself will take time for myself to get accustomed to.

You mean the same voices... that voice the games... need improvement... over characters they have voiced multiple times before... huh...

What's worse is we only heard small clips, and they sound exactly like they sound in the games.

It shouldn't really bother you at all, as long as it's not based on the actual MAIN series, they should be able to fiddle with the character designs if only to make them more interesting or to showcase a different "aesthetic" if you would. Plus although the characters are based off the characters in the series, it is modeled from a French company.

Knuckles looks way too beefed up for me that going to be an issue. Being a huge sonic fan I'll have to try and watch it. The character designs are a little too eh for me. Sonic tv shows didn't tend to win my favor the first two were okay and then sonic underground came and that's European so I have my worries. Sonic x was okay except for Chris and maybe if 4kids didn't dub it. I hope they include shadow in this, cause if they do, it has my vote
