Awsome I can't wait, and people please don't take one look and say "oh this is just power rangers". Atleast give it a chance before you judge it.

It's a shame American audience isn't ready for Asian heroes. Kamen Rider Ryuki is already awesome, it didn't need a remake.

Unfortunately, I can't see this going anywhere but the Ultraman Tiga route.

Well, if the pilot that leaked out online a while back is of any indication, they plan to keep as much of the dark and serious (for this type of show) tone of the series as much as possible. In otherwords rather than watching the light-hearted goofiness of the many Power Ranger shows and the What's Up Tiger Lily gag-dub treatment of Ultraman Tiga we may in fact be getting an emo series that's usually the norm in Japan for Kamen Rider these days.

Personally I'm really looking forward to this and I hope it goes over well.

I could have sword that I had heard something about reshooting and recasting since the pilot, but I could be wrong.

For those curious as to what it might looks like, here's a link to the trailer on youtube.

Over in the Power Rangers fandom, we've been following developments with this show for about the last two or three years. It has a lot of things going for it:

-It's not *from* 4Kids. They're just airing it.
-It has a good pedigree behind it. Steve Wang is an old school fan. He knows what rocks and what sucks. He also was a guest director on Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, directing one of that season's best episodes.
-Speaking of Power Rangers, he pulled some people from the show's old LA crew too.
-It is for kids but doesn't seem to pander and condescend to them like PR has been doing since around 2006.

Basically, the more I see of this show, the more I see to like. I look forward to the premiere.

(Next stop....GARO?)

I'm very curious as to how they'll pull this one off. When I saw the trailer, I thought that was pretty good. Then, I watched the pilot and thought it was just in-between ok to good. The main actor of the pilot didn't seem to impress me that much. I also thought the pilot's plot and direction needed some more work.

The interaction between characters were a little iffy too. Hopefully, their re-filming can surpass the pilot.

That's the most common response to those who either hate toku or never seen it.

PS: People also end it with..."It looks gay."

...and for those who do not know who Steve Wang is...go watch "Guyver Dark Hero"...then you'll have a pretty good idea.
