There's an 'I' missing in the title. Figure out where. @ ANN Staff member that posted this.

How far does it go after the Anime? How did the Anime fair in sales anyway? is there any chance for a sequel?

The anime covers all of the novels, so there isn't any chance of a sequel, unless it gets a reboot or the author writes more and the studio decides to adapt it. But, there will most likely not be any more animated No. 6...
The anime was okay, I feel like its biggest flaw was it episode count. It's so hard to squeeze 9 books into 11 episodes and cover all it needs to cover... If it had been longer it could have been great! I've only read the first chapter of the manga, but it seemed to match the anime pretty closely.
Anyway, RIP to another manga..

I'm sorry but you're all incorrect! There have been chapters recently written by the author called no. 6 beyond, chronicling the lives of shion and nezumi going separate ways, if you want a season 2 like me, make yourself heard!

*sigh* ah, yes, beyond *sigh*
[what I say below *might* be considered somewhat spoiler-ish, I don't give away any details and such, but talk in general terms about the content of this book. You've been warned.]
It's not so much a "chronicle" as more of a ...diary. A very *short* one at that.
There are four chapters: "A song from the Past" - mainly a short memory from the time Shion and Nezumi were still in their basement flat; and 3 'days' chapters including Inukashi's, Shion's and Nezumi's "days" (not weeks/months/years - *days*), with Inukashi's oen being, again, in the past, Shion's one is set a year after and Nezumi's 6 months after (the end, not Shion's chapter).
The stories are all wonderful and I loved every bit of the book, but not only does it not provide a closure, it raises even more questions itself. It's sort of like a reminiscing, wrapping-up episode in between two arcs of a bigger plot line. It sort of lays the groundwork for the future development of the story.
The only problem is, we haven't the slightest if there will be any :/
