Yeah, that makes complete sense.

You sound a little mad. It's a show man, it didn't kick your dog.
On another note, I'm excited. More SAO is what I want, swimsuits or no.

Anything to get them into swimsuits.

Why not just say that Sugu can't swim then? Why bring up Leafa at all?

Because Suguha being unable swim in ALO would be how they found out she can't swim. Pretty reasonable set up I'd say.

Remember that in ALO your character's abilities depend on your IRL skills.
But yeah, SAO was missing an episode like this. I'm glad they're fixing that error. And no, that's not sarcasm.

You know what?
I'll accept real-life abilities affecting ALO. Thats not inherently dumb, honestly.
What is dumb is that Suguha being unable to swim is a surprise to Kirito. Thats just idiotic.

The unavoidable, yet barfable swimsuit episode. Add a loli to that... Ugh. I live in Japan, so I'll probably watch, but... Sigh.

Gahh wish they'd animate some of the stories they missed out (tonkii), rather than just create a shitty fan service special to mine the fanbase further.

It damn well better hint at an adaption of GGO, or I will completely give up on this anime getting another season.

Remember that for awhile Kirito and Suguha weren't exactly close. I'm sure there's plenty more he doesn't know about her.

SAO was much too popular for a continuation into the later story arcs in the novels to not be at least in the planning stages; we are talking about a franchise that utterly dominated the LN charts in 2012 (I want to say it had something like 8 of the top ten LNs) and was one of the top sellers in Japanese Blu-Ray/DVD sales, after all.
In fact, I'm rather surprised that we haven't already seen an announcement about it. I'm betting on an appearance sometime in 2014.
