Earlier this moring somone was askoiing for help with a paper or something they had due. I stupidly gave a suggestion with out looking at the time that he posted, which had like a 4 hour difference between us. Anyways he was writing on anime and i told him to make a suggestion about Batman Child of Dreams without really thinking about it. When i gave him the link I hadn't looked at it myself until I saw that the thing itself had 5/5 stars (or bullets). And then I went back and read the article itself. The guy hated manga. He stated it like 7 times through the thing and yet he gave the book a perfect score. I wonder, for a guy to passionately hate manga why would he do this? Yes I have read the book and it truly is a good read but I actually like manga. Now before the lighters get lit let me add that the book is indeed a manga, it has simply been reversed for American readers and theirs a decent thing in the back about the history of the book and Kia Asamiya. Could it be because the book is still about Batman and "everyone loves Batman"? Could the book itself actually so good that he could get past his prejudices of manga and enjoy the damm thing (he said something about noses). Also, should there be more crossover manga-like things to help get the manga movement moving or do you think that it perhaps might destroy the "purity" of manga or whatever? Personally, I like the manga/comic book and I think that if more can be pulled off like this or (if they are they should be ported to American soil) than they should keep doing it. The link itself plus a few more. 1 (gave it a 4/5) , 2 gave it a 93/100 and this one is from a an actual anime site and whatnot, 3 no score but a positve rating and there's a shot of the thing.
