Where the f*ck is the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya? It's not like they have a lot of stuff on their plate at the moment. If it's not out for either the May solicitations (which Bandai jumped over Rolling Eyes ) or July ones, I'm just going to get the Hong Kong release since it's coming with subs.

I also see that Bandai is still run by idiots since they're not only still doing LE's, but sub-only LEs! Genius!

While I think that the regular price should be the LE price, and the regular $5 less, I don't have a problem with $5 more for the LE, since it comes with a manga (and 2 months before the manga's individual release, too). Getting a manga for half price with the DVD's a pretty good deal.

I'm glad they're releasing K-ON! every 2 months, or at least part 2 is out 2 months after the first release. Might even get the whole of it before summer's out Smile

Yes! Finally a date for the first Gundam Unicorn DVD.

I've been wondering that too. Isn't that franchise Bandai's cash cow? Shouldn't they be milking the s*** out of that film long ago since me and thousands of other fans would buy it?

Hate to be sounding like I'm defending Bandai (a company I despise) but didn't TDoHS just come out in December? Isn't there normally more of a time lag between a Japanese theatrical run and an R1 release?

The Japanese BD came out December 18th.

The Hong Kong BD came out today.

We don't have a solicitation for June, and that's nearly 6.5 months after the JP release. And both Madman and Manga UK have already announced that their BDs are coming out this summer, and we don't have ANY word for any kind of release, let alone a BD announcement.

How can Bandai Entertainment still get away with releasing singles in this day and age?

The fact that they got me to buy releases disguised as "Parts" is on my part. The "Parts" are no more than half a "regular" half-season releases.

Whereas you get 13 episodes with Funimation half-season box sets, you get 6-7 episodes with Bandai Entertainment's "Parts".

See now, this is the problem with the whole Gundam UC situation. It's great that they've now put out a reasonably priced release. In fact, I can even live with having to wait this long for a reasonably priced release. Except of course it's DVD only. Well...guess what? I don't want a [expletive] DVD. I want the series on BD. Thus, I'm still totally screwed.

Umm....It is on BD, and has been for quite a while. It's the DVD release that's been delayed all this time. The first two discs are out and the thrid BD will be available here in April.

Personally, I'd go with the DVDs though as it looks like those will be a better value at two episodes per disc and an MSRP of $30, whereas the BD are only 1 episode per disc and $50-60 bucks a pop. *coughtotalripoffcough*

That's exactly what I'm complaining about. I don't think it's too much to ask for a BD release that's not a total ripoff and yet they force me to either pay out the ass or settle for an inferior version, neither of which are acceptable options.

You know, reverse importation and all that.

I'll be getting the Unicorn DVDs.

Also, why the hell would Bandai do a LE for sub-only Tales set and not an LE for K-ON singles?
