I wonder if FFX will pull one of those deals where if you buy the PS3 version, you get the Vita version as well. I guess that's doubtful since the Vita splits the games in two. I'd really like to get this on the Vita just to have another game for it, but I don't want to buy two games if I don't have to.

The answer will be no as it is with almost every over game that is cross platform.

Japan has been promoting their cross-platform releases for many popular franchise-based games by offering discounts for one version if you bought the other, though it usually only goes one way (discount on only one system's game. They MIGHT do something like that with this, but I don't know how it would work. Maybe a discount on the PS3 version for buying both Vita games?
