And no one is terribly surprised.

At least it was not somehow snatched up by Sentai Filmworks and we get discs with huge audio issues and a devil may care dub job.

In what world has this ever happened? I've yet to hear of a license to be "snatch" out of another company, let alone Funimation (the biggest one). It's like the little brother of the family stealing the eldest's lunch money and lunch.
Then about sentia's audio issue....it happened one time on one episodes on only the BD and they addressed it right before release? What is so bad about that? Funimation has these issues with DBZ recently as well. Big deal. Old news, so move along.

Kids on the Slope, Angel Beats, Clannad, Highschool of the Dead, take your pick.
Also, I know a lot of you might roll your eyes at this, but I'd love to see AOT aired on Toonami.

I'm glad that they announced this now (and I'm hoping that it'll be early 2014, as opposed to later), and I hope Funi's delays are over. And, I hope Funi announces releases for things they've had for a while but have yet to even hint at home video releases.

Funi also planned to release guilty crown in 2012.....Its halfway through 2013 and we're only now hearing about it. I don't expect this until mid 2015 tbh

I think Eren is more suited to Micah Solusod.

The Japanese video releases may take some extra time anyways as the production crew improves the animation work.

No chance of seeing this released on DVD/BD until the end of 2014 earliest.
The last volume is released in Japan in March 2014, and the minimum gap after Japanese release end until US initial release is 6 months, so we are looking at Sept-Nov 2014 I'd guess. That's if none of the Japanese releases get delayed due to production issues...
Either way, nice to have confirmation on the license none the less.
This is easily going to be the smash hit of this season.

You must have not read the rest of that post, which continued to say
Quote: | I've yet to hear of a license to be "snatch" out of another company... |
The poster presumably meant that they had never heard of one company streaming the series while a different one handled the DVD release. Reading: It's fundamental!
