OMG - I remember this show back in the day. That's really great to hear that some of the great shows/programs that I grew up with are coming out DVD. Can't say the same for Saved by the Bell... that belongs in a locked vault.

Awesome. I absolutely loved that show when I was little. Consider it bought.
Now all I need is: The Noozles, The Little Koala, Maya the Bee, The Littl' Bits, and Mysterious Cities of Gold. It's kinda sad how much I miss childhood.

I'm not usually a spelling Nazi, but I had to laugh at 'Nicholodeon'-- it's Nickelodeon.
I must agree- hooray! A favorite from my childhood is coming to DVD! Now if only someone would pick up the rights to Unico.

I remember this series as well. Don't remember it very well, but I remember a good amount of the visual imagery. I enjoyed it when I was little, though I was still a major ghostbusters fan then so The Little Prince was not something I considered then to be awesome (only one cartoon held that title ).
Still, just for nostalgia's sake, I may get this dvd set when it comes out .

Took the words right out of my mouth. I loved both The Little Koala and Noozles back in the day, but Littl' Bits is the one that really sticks out in my mind as being my favorite. I wonder what my opinion would be of them these days, after all I rewatched the first season of Transformers and could barely stay awake. I'm pretty sure I liked these more anyway. And not that it was on Nick, but Voltron needs to hurry up and be released in the US as well, along with the original GoLion.
I secretly wish these Nick shows were all released dual-language, but I'll settle for anything at this point as that'll never, ever happen.

I second the Voltron vote, and a GoLion release would almost be even better.
I also agree about the Transformers. I like what I've seen of the several anime series', but the original has lost all it's charm.
Seeing those Nick shows with subs would be interesting to say the least.

The Adventures of The Little Prince is anime?
I was told the animation was French.
It good to hear about the true origin of the animation.
I remember the theme song....The Little Prince from outer space can catch a shooting star...

Man, those were the days; when Nickelodeon aired actual anime instead of bad copies of it. Me, I miss Noozles and City of Gold; Little Prince was cool but I never got into it like I did those two.
The really sad thing is, I remember the lyrics to the Little Koalla theme song EVEN NOW:
Friendly day,
time to play,
with Roo-Bear and his friends!
Where summer never ends,
Koallas show you how to
fly a plane, catch a wave
there's nothing we won't try!
Lots to do, fun starts here with you...
..and me!
Look up there, way up high,
Koallas in balloons!
Laughter's on its way to you!
Lara, Nick and Roo, Mimi, and Floppy too,
Waiting here for you!
Brand new day time to play
with Roobear and his friends
the fun adventure never ends!
Koallas lead the way
on a happy day
we all love to play!
Oo;;; What the heck is wrong with me that I remember that cheesy song from seventeen years ago yet half the time I can't remember my PIN number?
Also: That third verse is pretty omnious huh? "Look up there, way up high! KOALLAS IN BALLOONS! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! SAVE US, BATMAN!"
Also: It's not anime, but remember Dr. Snuggles? Man, that was just trippy.

wow - you're right. I wonder why in the world it's dramatically cheap? Unfornately, anime DVD's aren't that cheap.

Wow...I can't believe this is coming out on DVD! I totally remember watching this and Belle & Sebastian on Nick when I was a very little kid. I also wish they'd put The Adventures of the Little Koala out. My little sister and I watched the latter series when I was quite a bit older. And to the poster who put the lyrics of the theme song up...you brought back a memory I had not even thought about in over 10 years.
