The article (in English) can be found here. Actually I'm just curious about your reactions and your opinions concerning that topic, because I'm not a China expert at all and don't know if anime/manga really has such a big influence on Chinese (youth) culture... |

China is the biggest provider of anime fansubs and bootlegs in the world, and most of the market is domestic. Go figure. Personally, I believe it was because of her cross-gender portrayal. By the way, this thread shouldn't be in the Talkback forum. |

Oops I didn't mean to post it here, I actually wanted to post it in the anime forum. I'm sorry. |

Is it me, or does she bear a resemblance to Clay Aiken?
I don't know. I have no comment. |

How is she suposed to look any more anime-esqe than anyone else? Is it just me, because I'm not seeing the resemblance. Now if she was a double D with no waist and blue hair, than I could understand.
