It's no use. They'll just override the veto.
This is just the beginning of turning America into a plutocratic fascist dictatorship, mark my words. It's what the 1% wants and it's what they'll get come hell or high water.
It was nice knowing you, democracy.

There is only one way to not let it pass, pull another huge black-out like when sopa and pipa where trying to be passed. Even if Obama's veto gets overturned by congress, they can make an appeal to the supreme court to overturn that ruling.

I don't understand, this doesn't seem to be anything negative. It's looks like something so something like that PSN incident won't happen again.

The Plutarchs don't let them. Gotta keep the populace dumb to further ease the transition to totalitarianism.

Another issue is people not understanding completely what this bill allows the government and companies to do. Thank you for proving this. I can't blame you for this though, they write it in ways that are intentionally confusing.

Yeah I doubt this bill will destroy the 1st amendment, if it did, people will protest. I don't think this bill will pass, and people would protest just like SOPA. I don't see US is becoming like Syria, China, or North Korea. I don't think police with strong moral will grab an assault rifle and blast on peaceful protestors unlike in Syria before it became a civil war currently.

Oh it will happen. Just slowly. Slowly we'll slide down this slippery slope until we're at the bottom, and we'll all wonder what happened, except we won't because the Thought Police will have already Un-Personed us.

quote from article in reference to powers of bill
will allow companies that hold very sensitive and personal information to liberally share it with the government, which could then use the information without meaningful oversight for purposes unrelated to cybersecurity.
If this concept does not scare you then you probably have to much faith in the government. I am shocked though that people think that obama will be the one to veto it. the senate is probably the last chance of killing this bill.

Senate's still run by the [insults removed] Conservatives, right? No way they're striking it down.

Uhh...the Democrats have controlled the Senate since 2006. This is not passing the Senate, so it doesn't matter.

Ugh, must've confused it for something else.
Not like it matters, the dems have no balls anyway and enough money'll get them to vote for this. We're fucked no matter what. You can't trust any politician in today's world, they're all cut from the same cloth in the end.
