Because police is so extremely busy catching extremely dangerous downloaders in japan and protecting all society from their harmful crimes. Smile

The guy turned himself in. The police didn't even catch him.

I probably haven't been paying enough attention but can someone tell why this specific title keeps getting threatened? Sad

Just disturbed people lashing out randomly (and Kuroko Basketball was the unlucky victim) or is there something about the anime/manga that these individuals find offensive? (I haven't watched or read this title) Confused

I'm assuming there's nothing wrong with the anime/manga so it seems a bit ridiculous this keeps happening; if there wasn't proof, you might think this was a publicity stunt...

On that topic, have sales increased, decreased or stayed the same since this ordeal began?

The guy has a personal grudge against the author. He claims he did horrible things to people he cared about in high school, and it's supposedly the author's fault that he, the terrorist, no longer keeps in contact with these people.

This guy threatens to bomb places and claimed Bleach's first volume was awful. We would not get along.

The guy also hates fujoshi, or female fans in general, which are a large part of Kuoko's $$ spending audience.

Seeing stuff like this from the U.S. fanbase too. Threats about going to cons and assaulting/killing/raping the evil fujoshi.

I submit threatening posts to the FBI when I see them. They won't do anything unless an actual crime gets committed.

To be fair to the Japanese law enforcers, I don't think, other than the one instance of the chemicals being found, that this guy has committed any other crimes. I would venture a guess that some of the threats are copycats. There is plenty of fujoshi hate both there, and here.

I said this last time and I'll say it again: Hold these events with undercover cops disguised as fujoshi. Why is no one doing this!?

Makes me wonder what will happen as we get closer to the new season of the anime in the Fall.

If they're smart, they won't threaten a TV broadcaster. Do that and the police will definitely put more resources into the case.

My girlfriend told me that there should be a fake convention with a "Kuroko's Basketball" event that is really a sting operation to catch the morons who made these threats.
