I thought the first episode showed a lot of promise. It still had what made the first season great: action, comedy, and all the characters we loved from before. Opening theme is really good, too.; though I think little can top Tommrow.
All-in-all, I can't wait for more on this series.
My only complaint about the first episode is that there was not enough Kaname!!

I really hope their romance makes it somewhere this time around. It was somewhat a center point in the first season and Fumoffu but despite that it never really develops.

Where was it shown/How do I see it?
I just got the complete first season (only 8 more eps. to watch), however I have also seen part of Fumoffu and concur on the romantic issue.

I was disappointed to see Kaname at all in the last 2 minutes. Too much of her in FUMOFFU. Overkill. More Tessa!

Yeah, I want to see more romance too, because that's what attracted me to the first season in the first place. Not just that it had romance, but because it mixed mecha action with cutesy HS romance, and did it well. I saw the first episode, and even though there wasn't that much that took place at the high school, the action was em effin sweet. I also liked how they referenced a Fumoffu episode at the end when Sousuke forgot the notes that he had borrowed from Kaname, again. . .but couldn't do a "dash to the apartment" bit since the notes were on the submarine.
And in other spoileriffic goodness, I wonder how they reconcile this series with the end of Fumoffu, which ended with the whole class out for Sousuke's blood, and Sousuke calling Mithril for extraction. Then again, Fumoffu never places that much value on realism and plot continuity from one episode to the next.

Well that is simple and spoiler free, Fumoffu, contrary to popular believe, is NOT a sequel to the first season of FMP. It is set in the universe of FMP, but it is more like a parallel arc that has nothing to do with the main plot of the first season of FMP and TSR/Day by Day.

I just watched the first episode and thoroughly enjoyed it. So I am definitely going to get this when it comes out in America.
Ahh...Kaname is still brutal towards Sousuke for forgetting her notebook.

I liked the first episode.....great setup on story at the end as well as seeing all of the great cast coming back.
A little dissapointed that there wasn't more comedy, but hopefully they amp it up down the series as i laughed so hard in Fumoffu. I want Kruz to have more screen time and more comedic scenes like at the Spa.......That was the funniest episode.

This series has just started airing in Japan on July 13th. There has only been 1 episode shown so far. So how can there be 2 DVDs. This thread is about FMP! The Second Raid not FMP? Fumoffu.
